Yesteryear Collection

This model was commissioned by the Chester Toy Museum in late 1995, as it was considered to be a particularly apt way of publicising the Museum and its collection of Matchbox Toys. The past decade has seen the development of the Museum and its contents into both a representative display of children's playthings but more particularly, the most comprehensive display of Matchbox Toys in the country.

The Museum is located in the Centre of Chester and occupies the larger part of a 16th Century building, divided into five rooms over two floors.

Items other than the Matchbox collection include trains, dolls, teddies, pedal cars, working models and even a 1950's juke box.

The Museum is open seven days a week, excluding public holidays.
